Here's my situation. I'm really interested in the Slim. I love the Fat Boys but I'm too short for one. I rode my buddy's one time and going down the road i felt fine on it and it rode beautiful but I couldnt back it up to save my life cause my feet barely touch the ground. I currently own a 03 super glide. When I bought it it had a bad lander seat and forward controls which made me have to stretch out my legs to reach them, especially if I was wearing sneakers. so I put a reduce reach seat on it which made it perfect. I'm currently in Afghanistan and thinking about getting a quote through the military harley dealers out here. I'm 5'5", so I'm wondering how well I would fit on this bike? Thanks
I am still kicking this around, not sure I want to drop $15-16K. It is definitely low, sits lower than my Iron. I am about 5-8, would be fine for 5-5.

First and foremost...thank you for your service!!!!
I am 5'6" about 155lbs....I sat on the Slim at the dealership last Saturday....I was able to flat foot the bike so I am POSITIVE you would be able to also.....first time I was on a stock bike when I actually was able to flat foot both feet....I currently ride a 2010 Heritage Softail, which I am going to keep!
I think the Slim would fit you perfectly. At 5-11, I was uncomfortable in the thighs and hips because it was a cramped position for me. We even tried a taller seat at the dealer for me but it still just sat way too low, even with forward controls. The dealer then parked a 48 right next to the Slim, and I took the 48 home.
Ive had my Slim for 5 days. Im 5 10- 165. sits perfect to me. would like the taller risers so i can sit back a lil more but the bike is balanced perfect, rides and handles awesome.
The Slim is by far my favorite looking HD bike, it's perfect, even better than the Softail Deluxe, followed by the 48 at third for me. I prefer the wire wheels!
I tried out the Slim at Americade and I really want one. I'm 5'1" and I had no problem with it. I even pulled over at a gas station and tried pushing it backwards and I could do it pretty easily. Here is my problem. I want a rack and sissy bar so I can use my Iron Rider luggage set but I don't want one that goes behind where a passenger seat would be. That seems to be the only kind the dealer has in their catalogs. My Nightster has the rack on the fender right behind the solo seat. The dealer says that once Harley sees how popular Slims are they will start making more accessories.....but I want it now!!!
