Check the fuse connections, check the bulbs. You didn't mention if it is front or rear. If it is rear, unscrew the taillight and check the connections. They are inside the taillight. I dunno about the front ones. Get a manual, that would help...Good luck.
I have replaced bulbs. It's the left blinker. When they blink they both blink along with the indicator on the dash. When they don't blink nothing blinks, the lights just stay on. I really don't worry about it much until I come to a 4-way stop and want to turn left.
Is that a relay system or electronic? If its a relay system, like the older cars used and all three lights are coming on then its probably the relay itself thats the problem. They use a bi-metalic stripthat heats up under load from the bulbs. If its not heating up enoughit will allow the lights to come on, but not blink.
Ford used to set the circuit loading up so that if one bulb was out the lights would not blink as a warning that there was a problem.
More modern systems often use an electronic switch to do the blinking and its not dependent on amperage loading to activate the blinker. So one or more bulbs could be out and the dash indicator will still blinklike everything is fine and dandy.
