2001 softail engine light flashing
Im hoping someone can help,
Went for a ride yesterday, and once on the motorway, Bike started to miss , cough and splutter , and run rough, I made it to a gas station where I filled the bike as intended, after which she ran fine and rode fine , The bike took 18 litres of fuel, However, Now since the initial problem started , I have the red engine light flashing on the speedo, It flashes 2 x the short pause the flashes 5 x then long pause , then the same sequence starts again 2 x pause then 5 x , it does this while riding the bike, and when you turn bike off it stops of course, turn ignition on and run switch on and the indicators DONT flash and the red light starts the flashing sequence again , the bike starts now problem , but how do I get the red light to stop flashing and have the indicators flash on as they are suppose to when ignition is turned on ??

So, you want to erase the trouble code 25? I believe that if it is a historic code, which means the problem is no longer present then it will go away after 50 engine runs lasting more than 30 seconds each, if the problem does not come up again during that period. Or you can have it removed with the use of a scan tool.

Thanks heaps for that I have looked up info on Historic code 25 and it sounds consistant with the problems and sypmtoms that we had , Cheers and thanks again Ghostrider69

Well , seems we have an issue somewhere in the indicators, the ECM was code P1356, which has been sorted, but the engine light flashing is error code B1121 and B1122 which is caused by a fault with the Indicators, and when I put the indicator on it will flash at normal pace, then after 5 flashes flashes really fast, both front and back indiators are flashing and this happens on both left and right , any Ideas whats going on ...Any one . The bike runs and rides fine and all indicators work, just flash normal then fast and still the red engine light flashing 2 and 5 ..code 25...Its got me and the tech I took the bike to stumped....any help would be gratefull
