Faction, the problem with looking through the shield is that if you get caught in rain and you can't see over the shield your going to have a visability problem. Idealy you want to be able to see over the shield not thru it only.
Is yours removable? How hard is the kit to install and when you buy them do they come with some kind of protective bag to store it in when not on bike? Do you think it would fit with street slammer bars on?
Yes, mine is detachable. Installation is simple....all you need is an allen wrench and a 1/2" socket. You remove4 screws (2 each side) from the front forks and replace them with new screws and rubber bushings that come with the windshield. You don't get a protective bag with the windshield...so I kept the original boxto store it when I don't have it installed onmy bike.
I don't see why it wouldn't fit your bike with street slammer bars since the windshield mounts to the forks.
windshields are smart for anything other than city riding... ull find out one day
at least in the warmer months because of the bugs
in the colder months to keep the wind chill off of you (not so much bugs then)
and flying debris can f'n hurt
but I ride all the time without a shield in the city.. and a few kinda local areas..50miles or so..out of city
