Received the H4 6000K 60 W HID kit lastnight. It all fit in the headlight housing.
Pretty bright but need a late night ride to fully realize the potential.
Little pricy $230 but all in one kit. And hi / lo functionality maintained.
Sorry iPhone post so no pictures yet.
Harry
i just installed this morning on my 2010 fatboy.
all fit inside the bucket.
$230??? i paid $50.
slim ballast, hi/lo, relay and all wiring.
only thing i had to do was run 12v and ground from battery.
rest was plug and play.
i didnt take any pics, too hot in the garage( 10am it was 85" already here on long island. 100+ in the garage even with a/c unit in the wall)
The slim ballast, relay, and everything fit without wiring changes.
It is a similar kit that I bought for my FLHX.
The 6000 K is a white blue, and it is pretty bright. The shutter is all self contained. They advertise the system as completely waterproof. Submersible Infact.
Go ahead and try it on your own.
Sure there may be cheaper units, but the 60w HID caught my eye. And I'm still money ahead of the LEDs some are getting.
My stock setup had the passing lights as brighter. Not any more. And they look brown in comparison.

Hey, do you have to install a relay. On my Iron 883 I just tap into the original power source of the oem headlight harness. Can I just install it without the relay harness?
