I love my deluxe. Also the fashion police that are always questioning guysbike and girls bike... Well I always wonder why they care. I am 5'9 so can ride anything but test road a deluxe and a roadking in sturgis. I loved how the deluxe road so in niv I traded my sporty after putting 27 k on her in two years in for an 11 deluxe. I just (2hours ago) rolled in from a 1800 mile trip on the deluxe still in love. But others have said it is really taste.
If you walked into an HD dealership with your wife or girlfriend and said she wanted a bike and she was just beginning
The sales person would walk you to one of two bikes
Deluxe or Sportster
Don't believe me try it, walk in to any dealership and tell them those exact words and nothing else
Yes their are women that ride EVERY model, but walk in and say she's just starting and wants a new bike, and those two options come up every time
Case closed
it's true, i walked with my wife and the salesman did it, but i think 85% of ladies will agree with my wife, she thing the deluxe look to manly for a girl, she was looking at dynas like the super glide and the fatbob, notice that most ladies at the dealership always look at dynas and blackline!
my buddie's wife had a softail, and wanted to go with a touring bike because they were taking longer trips. The hd dealer recommended a street glide because it sat lower than an ultra or road glide. I guess that means if the deluxe is the girl's bike softails, the street glide must be the girl's bike of touring bikes.
Case closed?
i know like 5 ladies who onws sg just 3 thats owns deluxe, those who owns deluxe their husbans pick the bikes for them, i dont think ladies thing deluxe is atractive or girly!!
Thanks for all the input from everyone - I've been staring at this deluxe ever since I saw it on the dealer's web site, and the red is really jumping at me (doesn't help that red is my favorite color)! I'll be heading up there this week to see if we can't make a deal.
God I love this forum ........I've seen some pretty bad *** looking luxes and some pretty bad *** looking fattys posted here. They both have +'s and -'s.......I've learned one thing though, the one's that look the best don't look anything like how they started out.......it just takes $$$$$$$ LOL. BTW I have a friend that has the same color Deluxe........I think it's the best looking color in the last few years (red sunglow?).
