Thanks for all the input from everyone - I've been staring at this deluxe ever since I saw it on the dealer's web site, and the red is really jumping at me (doesn't help that red is my favorite color)! I'll be heading up there this week to see if we can't make a deal.
that is the way I was about mine. I was looking for a blacked-out bike when I am found my bike that looks like that one.

God I love this forum ........I've seen some pretty bad *** looking luxes and some pretty bad *** looking fattys posted here. They both have +'s and -'s.......I've learned one thing though, the one's that look the best don't look anything like how they started out.......it just takes $$$$$$$ LOL. BTW I have a friend that has the same color Deluxe........I think it's the best looking color in the last few years (red sunglow?).
Yep, it's ember red Sunglow. I have the Two tone Midnight Blue/powder blue metallic paint on my Fatty, and it's nice - but it doesn't jump out at me like the red and the white walls.
Humm, I must have a F'Luxe cause it isn't a Fatboy anymore but I still don't have the cool Tombstone Tail light and full front fender yet....But I have chrome and then some, Dual pipes, Fishtails, lace wheels, Shotgun shock and a Nacelle.
I see a lot of Deluxe's here that are AWESOME but none of them are stock bikes anymore.
I say get what you can afford, another $5-7000 at it and make it what you like

It's not a F'Luxe until you get some white walls, light bar and the front fender on it. If you want to run duals and fishtails then do it right and go with Samson Cholo Longtails.
