Default 2000 Fatboy Oil change
I just bought a 2000 Fatboy and need to know how much oil goes in the primary and tranny if someone has that info. Thanks in advance. Ray

The owners manual will have that info....

Don't have the manual and figured out the engine oil off my RoadKing manual. Needing the amount on the tranny and primary, not sure if it would be the same as in my 07 RoadKing manual. Thanks again.

07s supposed to take a quart in each bit when I changed my primary oil it started overflowing after about 26ozs

06 softail (i think 00-06) takes one quart for the primary (fill to bottom of clutch basket with bike level.) and 24oz for the tranny (check warm with bike level and dip stick sitting on bung. I agree with the dude world info being an excellent site for beginners...if you are. Good luck!!

My07 96'er takes 32 Ozs on tranny and pri change, and about 2 1/2 with filter for the motor...

Not sure what the 88'ers take...

My dyna(rubber mount b engine) takes 2.5 in the motor,a quart in the primary and a quart in the tranny.
Try that then take er for a spin and re-check,ad if necessary.
