I have the nostalgic windshield on mine I was going to have it cut but decided to try it out first I am glad I did not cut it. I now find it hard to ride with out it i took it off one night went a half a block and came back to put it back on give it a chance you can always cut it later
I got a detachable and it hit right in my line of sight. I left it for about 3 months stretching to look over it, or slumping to look through it. The wind buffetting was also horrible. I even added wind deflectors, which I hate the look of but can't use the windshield without. I cut my own windshield down 3" and now the wind is much less of an issue and I can see clearly over the windshield. You can cut this shield about as low as you want, but if you are looking for a small shield both width and height you would need to go aftermarket, look at Memphis, they seem to have a large selection of choices. Hope this helps and good luck.
I just ordered a Rifle soloshield...looks pretty good...4" height adjustment and infinite angle adjustment. 17" wide and 15" high from light cutout. attaches to bars. Keepin my fingers crossed I can find a good set up.

Not sure what you mean when you say wind buffetting, will these smaller windshields be a problem for me because I drive alot on I-75 a free way where you travel 70 to 80 mph on it.
I checked windvest.com and memphisshade.com out,and thats what I want but not if it's going to be a problem.
Another question I have is if I buy the harley hardware can I just get there wind shield and install on that.
Thanks for everyones help.
