Does anyone have these? If so how well do they fit? Looking to throw a set on my train and it doesn't seem that there's a lot of options in black.
Thanks
There are two different types. There are the set shown in the pic above which have a scallop where the two swing arm tubes go under. Then there is the type that does not have a scallop that is used with the full swing arm chrome cover kit. If you dont want the full kit but might want to do the swing arm tube covers later then get the lighted phantom covers, these are essentially the same covers that come in the full kit but with tiny smoked lenses and LEDs that can be spliced into the brakes circuit (if you want, I never bothered)
The scallop type shown above cant be used with the full swing arm covers because it will leave a gap in between.
I have had both types and they fit good and look even better. There are smaller covers that HD sells depending on if you wanted a more minimalistic look or not. Some people just buy the chrome hardware and nut/bolt cover for the back axle area as well.
These are a good piece for the price if thats the way you choose to go.
I have the black ones on my train, got on quick and they look great. Wish there was something to cover the swing arm pivot bolts. Have chrome ones now since that is all they offer.
Note sure what you mean here about two different types. I would like a set like lumberjacker has. Every search I come up with tells me they won't fit my 06 Train? Why is that? I found a cheap set on Amazon for $57 but want to make sure they fit. http://www.amazon.com/Kuryakyn-Phant...=2GNAOQUY4UMEH
Thanks for the help

Like I said the regular cover has the scallops like Lumberjacks. You cant use these with the full chrome swing arm cover because you will have a gap between the two. Im sure you would never want the full chrome swing arm anyway so no big deal.
The lighted version doesnt have the scallops mentioned above.
In the pic from HDGZR you can see that his is different...its the new style for the newer bikes.
I have no idea why your bike is not in the fitment...sometimes if the stock exhaust doesn't have clearance it will say no fit but if you have an aftermarket exhaust then no problem. Dont know if this is why for your bike is excluded because Im not familiar with your model.
Not sure what you mean by scallops but you're right I'm not looking for a full chrome swingarm cover. Lumberjackers bike is a train so I guess I'll just have to order them and and see for myself.
Thanks for the replys
