I started using the little walkman back in 1999. I only had little headphones back then and after awhile they started hurting my ears. In 05 I bought a street glide and put the hogtunes speakers in and it was ok but I found it more distracting changing channels and making sure I hit the correct button for the volume. Kept that bike for a couple of years and went back to riding my softail and using my little walkman. Discoved the skully candy buds only about a year ago and love'm. Makes anything sound great. My two sons use them all the time w/their phones or other devices. I just use them for long rides and rather have the radio to keep up w/local traffic and weather reports. Working on finding a XM that will work for me. Until then I've got 3 extra little walkmans that I bought as backups when I realized they weren't making them anymore.
I like the noise cancelling in ear , ear buds.... They do a good job of quoting the road and wind noise... Then with decent volume and good fit...
My ears aren't fatigued, so to speak from overall noise and sound...
I just installed DWG speakers & amp today. It was better than I expected. I made a few adjustments to the EQ on the MP3 player & it helped. It comes with a wireless remote to turn the amp on/off & volume too.
