Default What else besides cams for my install?

Alright, well my cams are suppose to be in friday, or early next week. so quick question, besides my new cams... SE204s, what else do i need as far as gaskets bearings etc? any special tools?

Also is it worth the $180 for the adjustable pushrods? seems to be the way to go for ease of install, no having to open the rocker boxes and remove tank and such...

You will be ahead of the game if you replace your inner cam bearings with Torrington bearings.

You will benefit from the cam and bearing install tools but you can risk disaster if you are really good with a press and have a variety of pieces of iron laying around as far as getting the cams out and back in the support plate. You will need the bearing removal tool and probably the install tool.

If you have some miles on the bike you will probably want to replace the cam chain tensioner shoes. You will be able to change those out as a regular maintenance item if you get the adjustable push rods (one of the side benefits of doing so).

Cam cover gasket.

If your existing cam is in good shape, that should do it.

Get the cam install kit ($50.00) from Jamie at Fuel Moto and your good to go!
http://www.fuelmotousa.com/cams.htm

If you dont want to pull the gas tank and rockers get adjustable push rods ($150.00)
http://www.fuelmotousa.com/pushrods.htm

Great choice on the SE 204.

With only 6k U don't need to replace the lifters.. but if U take them out of the holes make sure U number them so they go back in the same position/hole as they are now.

So is the inner cam bearing tool needed? Or can I just use my normal bearing install tool and a press?
