Default Anyone Lower Their Deuce?

Hey Folks,
I'm new to the site, good to meet y'all (or "all y'all", since it's plural...) I read the lowering info on the Do It Yourself Forum link, and I'm still pretty much decided that I'm going to lower my '01 Deuce.

Seems like there's only one method for the front, and that's the fork kit with the new springs and dampers (stoppers? whatever), but it looks like there's TWO types of rear lowering kits. It looks like one involves the shock absorbers and the other involves the swingarm? Is that correct?

So my questions are:
1.) Anyone out there with a lowered Deuce? How much did you drop it? And, what are your observations from a visual and handling perspective?

2.) If there are two rear lowering kit types, is one "better" than the other? I know my limitations and I'm probably going to have the kit installed at the HD dealer - will one require less shop-time than the other?

3.) Any additional comments about lowering Softails in general and Deuces in particular would be appreciated!

Want a great ride? Check out the Texas Hill Country!
See you on the road.
