Default lowering a Deuce front end as much as possible...

Hey Deuce owners...

I noticed there are a few different options for part numbers on Progressive's front fork lowering kits. I'm looking to find out which kit, or perhaps from another manufacturer that will get my Deuce front fork lowered as much as possible. More than 2" would be great!!

What have you guys used??

THANKS!!

Just curious why do you want to lower the front end so much? Did you also lower the rear end?

I have 2" springs on mine. I'm going to go with 2" lowers when I upgrade to a 23". You could probably get away with that without having to rake the front anymore than it already is.

no, I definitely do not want to rake it anymore.... Village, do you happen to know which springs you used? (if progressive, what part #) And also, in your sig the forks look stock....

Kyle- just the style of build I am doing. The rear will be air. This will not be your typical looking Deuce at all...

I'm not sure. I'll have to double check with the indie when I'm out there next. The sig photo needs updating. It's now got a shotgun shock and the front wasn't lowered in that photo as well as some other mods. I have build thread somewhere around here with newer photos. The only reason you'd have to rake it is if the wheel and fender were having clearance issues with the frame. At 2" it doesn't. At 4". It might.

Thanks guys.. I tried calling Progressive yesterday but was on hold too long, so I hung up. I'll call again today. I just want to make sure I order the kit that goes the lowest. They have what looks like a few options for the Deuce.

Kiwi- your sig pic also looks like the stock fork height... is this with progressive??

Loud n Low, air ride on a deuce will be sick. I have never seen that before. I lowered mine about a year ago. I used progressive 422 shocks. I'm durr the air ride will be nice.

I wouldnt waste money on front air ride on a deuce. Its not a show machine.
The lower the front, the more brutal the ride. You need a little bit of travel man. Too low is not that way to go. In front at least.

Im down 2" in the front via progressive drop ins. When my rear air ride is slammed all the way down, the ride on rough roads is not fun. Brand new pavement, then there is nothing nicer. But thats rare in Boston.. Roads blooooow here.

The rear won't matter if it's on air and the front of a Deuce probably needs better forks overall to be able to do anything with the ride. They were more for show than go in the first place.
