Default Heritage make over
Deside to tinker with my 97 Heritage last night, Pulled the windshield off, the saddle bags, the wifes seat. I like the look, but it needs a diffrent stance so I'm ordering a front rear lowering kit for it.

I put my bags back on, it still looks good with them on. I'mm always runing to the store to get stuff so I figure I better leave them on. Thinking of getting a solo seat that is narrower then the Mustang seat I have now.

Heritages sit incredibly high out of the gate. You can damn near see daylight between the fender and tire. I took mine down 2" and it's not enough. Have to wait for the Shotguns to go further. Very versatile bike though (as you're finding out).

That's why the Heritage is such a nice package. When my windshield is ready to be replace (from road rash) I think I'm going to cut it down really low and tint it really dark, sort of like a street glide. Then I'll buy a new sheet for the rest of the year. Your bike looks good.

I like it. In my opinion, it would look really cool with lower handlebars like Benway's.

Funny to come across this thread - I just did the same thing with my Heritage Sunday afternoon. Took off the wind deflectors, windshield, bags, sissy bar and luggage rack, and the passenger boards. Then put the stock seat on as a solo. Different look for sure.
