Alright, here is the deal.
Right side passenger peg is too low and her shoes like to rub on my exhaust, tired of buffing out the burnt rubber on the pipes , where the heel and toe would rub..
so ive looked at the Kury offset mounts, but they say not safe to use on the single bolt mounts b/c the extra leverage would loosen the bolts, but for $80 seems to be the cheapest way, and i dont want a big bulky peg mount like the ones they make for the softy..
i could see the offets being a issue on the left side bc if u moved it forward it would loosen the bolt... so could i just pull the bolt add some loctite and just keep and eye on it?
I have switched exhaust to v&h bss... problem is pipes r directly under the right peg. Kury makes relocator for the softail except deuce. Which I think its if u r running stock exhaust. But they are big and bulky and a hefty price tag. I thought about the 2" lockable offsets which ur not suppose to use bc they will loosen. I can see that being an issue on the left side. But then it might look tacky so idk! Probably wait till winter and try to fab something up. May have to drill and tap another hole in the frame.. hmmm
But I would think other softail owners have the same issue but maybe their pegs r differnt local

or what has been some of your solutions?
I'd think some variety Loctite would do the job. Probably don't want to use the "red" unless the attachment bolt is a hex-head.
Another option: It looks like there's enough room to attach the offset with a longer bolt, and put a jamb-nut or two (if you get the skinny kind) on the inside of the frame.

I have thought about that also. thing for me is i dont wannt anything to look tacky.
Did grab the JP book out again and so some looking. JP has there own offset mount, cheap verson of the Kury one that they sell for the single bolt softails.
But kury has 2 options. they have an anti rotation mount and then you can use the offsets.
or they make a offset softail mount which has 2 pegs on it which i dont care for. so ill see may just have take an hr ride this weekend up to Anamosa and check things out.
I use the kury mount, instead of having the offset at 3 o'clock put it at 12 so it raises the peg and don't have to worry about the leverage loosening them.
My situation was a little different but I used a piece of grade 8 ready rod and threaded it through, put a nylon lock nut on the back then a spacer in the front held together with a locktited chrome acorn nut. So far it hasn't come loose nor even moved and my wife is on the back with me all the time. I think it doesn't look tacky but thats me.
The softail bracket would raise the peg up a bit but not enought height your talking about but I find more faith in the ready rod than the hex bolt IMO.
