I got the turn out style. I really like it.

Check out Carl Miles Heal Guard, nice looking and great customer service. I believe he offers a discount to HD Forum members. I used the Mr. Clean soft scrub pad to clean mine with no pressure when the pipe was cold.

Its been said earlier, but the penny trick works, I was concerned, but decided to give it a try since I already had a few small scratches trying steel wool.

This penny thing sounds funny, but intersting at the same time. I'll give it a shot.

Chrome pipes: 0000 steel wool.
Black pipes: you're screwed until you do a re-coat.

I have had some boot marks on my pipes for quite a while now. I had tried blue-job, turtle chrome cleaner, mothers chrome cleaner, never dull, 0000 still wool and none of them worked. Today as an "experiment" not really believing I could get the marks off, it used the aluminum foil and it took a few minutes but the pipes look brand new again. I used mine "dry" but I saw another thread that said you should use a little water too. I will try that the next time.

I guess boot marks on your exhaust are better than boot marks on your helmet. Unless they came from her boots.
