New to the site and new owner of a 05 Deuce. Got a great deal on a completely stock Deuce with just over 3000 miles.
First mods I'm planning on are pipes, A/C, and some type of simple tuner. I really like the look of the V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes. Any input of the sound and performance of these pipes?
I don't plan on any other engine mods so I'm leaning towards a simple tuner like the V&H Fuelpak. Any other suggestions in a similar price range?
Still undecided on an A/C but looking at pictures of different open element set-ups now.
If anybody has input on any of these parts or a good place to order them other than E-bay let me know!
I have 06 Deuce. If you like the radius go for it. Its all what u like. I have screamin eagle 11 slip ons and SE open air intake and bought a PC from fuelmoto. Bike runs great. My daughters boyfriend has the V&H fuelpak. Both are fairly easy to program and both work well. Fuelmoto will program your PC if you decide to get it there. I have only experience with those 2. Both seem to be very good. You will get alot of opinions on this. Good luck
I'm still trying to learn about the tuners. I definitely want one that is simple and hopefully on the lower end of price range. I don't care to pay for quality but at the same time, I am doing doing pipes and an air cleaner so I don't think it's worth the money to get a tuner with a lot more capability. Not doing any other mods to the engine.
Anybody else have any input?
Thanks for a great site. I'm learning so much just by browsing and searching.
Dobeck DFO/TFI for pipes and AC. Very simple and effective. Ran one for 1 1/2 yrs til I went bigger. Lower end of the price scale. No maps. Screwdriver adjustments. Crisp throttle response, no decel pop, great MPG. Strongly suggest you look into this unit. Perfect for your situation.

I'm running vh bss pipes and a Ness stage 2 intake on my 07... pipes were 500 new from DK and intake was 170.. but I went with the sert just bc I plan bigger mods down the road.
Welcome, to a fellow deuce owner! My 07 had Vance and Hines short shots on it when I bought it, they were alright. Much better than stock or slip ons of course, but I got a killer deal on some dual rineharts and absolutely love them. I get complimented on their sound constantly. I just took the baffles out a few weeks ago just for ***** and grins... Now when I fire it up at busy gas stations, it makes people jump lol. Very very loud, and still no backfiring or popping. As for intakes, the se heavy breather has always been my favorite. I've got a screaming eagle race fueler on mine now, and it's been on it since I had the bike so I can't tell you if it makes a big difference or not. When I do my cams, I want to do a power commander and dyno tune as well.
As far as AC and exhaust is concerned, I like the Big Shots Staggered on the Deuce with the H-D Heavy Breather AC. K&N makes a similar intake. But I have heard they may get in the way of your leg a little. Prolly go to a bike night in your area to see and listen to what is out there and go from there.
Thanks for all the input. Last night I ended up ordering Big Radius 2 into 2, Fuelpak, and a Kuryakyn Mach 2 chrome and black A/C. Should be here Thursday so hopefully I can get them installed by the weekend and get some pictures up.
