Wanting to purchase some Freedom Racing Duals for my 08 bones...says they will fit but obviously I am overlooking something. How the crap does the top pipe fit through that opening...there has to be something removed!! My seat pan bracket is in that space. I know I have seen a bones on here with duals...
Do you have to do some modification or something? Anyone have freedom pipes? What's been your experience with quality and sound. Any help is appreciated!
Don't have freedom pipes. The V&H duals have the pipe behind the rear cylinder flattened a bit so it fits. Samson comes with a replacement seat bracket.
That bracket only supports your coil these days, not tne seat, so can be removed if you relocate your coil.

A little hint for you. The Crossbones is a Softail. If an exhaust will fit one Softail, it'll fit all of them. True duals on a Heritage will fit the same as on the Crossbones.
Ok...know that. Still doesn't answer the question of how that pipe is going to fit through that little *** space! Something has to change....WHAT!
Rakthi- your right...bracket is for the coil. So I guess to run the duals, the coil HAS to be relocated...crap! deal breaker!
Samson's crossover pipe maintains the same diameter throughout it's length. In other words it is not crimped or swedged down to clear the coil and shift arm. Samson sends you a new thinner seat post bracket that simply moves the coil very little and a new shift arm that is bent to go under the cross pipe. As you can see in this pic, my coil is still very close to it's factory location.
