Excellent information, thanks so much for the thorough explanation. It's good to know that they have the check valve and that JD gets his customers squared away a.s.a.p. I recently meet a guys on the road that was riding fully slammed. I could see him bouncing around like it was a totally ridged frame. When I asked about it he told me that he had Progressive Suspension Airtail shocks without the compressor, and that they had leaked down. He said he was stopping occasionally to air them up at gas stations, but the last air only held for about 10 minutes. He wasn't at all happy about having to ride it home ridged for another 2.5 hours to Vegas, or the downtime for repairs. So that's where the majority of my apprehension came from.
Thanks for taking the time to clear that up for me
Let me know if you are in the market for a shotgun. I bought mine back in March, but have yet to install it. It is still sitting in the original packaging in my office. I have no apprehension about the product, it is just somewhat overkill for me at this time. I was going to put it in the classifieds on this site, but let me know if you're interested before I do.
Probably should have picked this up by now but everyone refers to the supplier for these shotguns simply as JD what is the company name and or contact info? Does he give discounts to members?
He is running a special this month for forum members. 1250 I believe.
JD is the guy who came up with them and makes them. Great dude and great product. I too had a seal go bad and JD sent me a replacement shock right away. I bought a new bike and it was one of the first mods that I bought for the new deluxe.
Hh did you get a new shock or a fix mine is doing the same thing and also my second one. I have left a message for jd but i am 1800 miles from home so trying to see if there is a short term fix
JD is at the Cripple creek Colorado rally this weekend, 17-19.
FYI.
He has another guy helping him take care of stuff while he is gone. I bought my shock from him last Friday. Drove up to Santa Ana and picked it up. JD was quick to answer the phone for any questions I had, even though he was in Sturgis.
That guy is what customer service should be.
