Check engine& battery light
Last couple weeks my 08 nighttrain electrical system has been messing with me. Yesterday on my ride home the check engine and battery light turned on. Bike was running fine. Came home checked the codes B0563 battery voltage high. I checked the battery shows 11v. Any ideas??

Had the same thing happen to me. I needed a new regulator and stator. I hope you're turns out to be something different because it's not real cheap. Regulator isn't all that bad if you can get away with only that...

I replaced the regulator last week. I went to the dealer later they said if the stator was bad the bike would be running only on the battery it wouldn't last more then a couple days. They might be able to figure out why the codes are going off for their hourly service rate, it could be a loose ground wire, all the way to a bad stator.
Do you know how they figured out it was the stator?
