Default tail twitch when going around corners

Hello forum. I seem to get a slight tail slide when going thru corners. Im not talking at high speed. Normal riding.
It's slight, however i know that if i had to open up i would end up eating the tarmac. What could cause this? My tyres are still good.

How old are the tires? If they are older they could be getting hard.

Good one mate. In South Africa we call a road a road. In the states and Canada the pavement is a road.
Our pavement, you call a sidewalk.
Snakes no,We sometimes have to accelerate away from Lions and Leopard though, lol

Its a 2003model. Still the same tyres on the bike. You could have a very valid point. How could i test / determine if they are infact hard?

If this was my bike I would be looking for new tires then. The rubber degrades over time and gets hard. This is probably why your bike isn't grabbing the road as well.

Tar snakes are the black patches in the road to fill cracks and tears. They get slippery in the hot weather.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen to his bike. He had spokes on the rear and it turned out to be a bad wheel hub.

No need to test them. No motorcycle tire is good for 9 years! You will definitely notice a difference in traction with new tires.
