Same problem with my 20" Clearview shield. Will have to get it cut or opt for the 19" stock height.

There's this new service out there called Fedex.

That would cost me more to ship then have mine cut to size. I will have it cut!

Didn't check what shipping charges might be, just thought it was a way for 2 guys to help each other out and both win in the deal. Also thought it was good for a little humor too.

I have the quick release Harley windshield on my 99 Softail Custom, and instead of cutting the top down, I cut it where it fits over the head light and moved it down on the down tubes. That worked great for me. Mine started out as an 18". It is now a 16"

Sounds great, but unfortunately my windshield is not able to adjust like that. It is mounted right to the forks. The only way for me is "take a little off the top" so to speak.

I had my windshield cut down to 17.5" by a glass shop. Just right for me now. I am 5'11". Looks better also not being so tall.

Very nice ride there.
I was going for 18", but last night decided to go to 18.5". That's taking 2" off what I have. I may change my mind one more time and go back to 18" by time I get it to the glazier.

I believe that 18" or 18.5" would have allowed me to see over the shield but I am still happy with the 17.5. Got to test it out in some rain last time I was home. It kept me pretty dry until the big cloud burst hit, then of course nothing is going to stop that. The wife and I were soaked for the last 5 miles of the ride getting to the Hotel.

When it rains you will be glad you can see over it, because you will not be able to see through it at all. Maybe we need windshield wipers. LOL
