Where is the best place as far as price to get true duals? I dont want the fishtail tips. Also i have heard of the samsons being off centered has anyone with the vance and hines have any issues?
FWIW....I love my Samson true duals...right sound and I got from drew on this site.....can't remember the company he reps for but if u ask someone on this site will know.
I have had both i was running the vance and hines true duals and switched to the samsons which i think have a better looking fishtail. The vance and hines fishtails look more like a large mouth bass. one thing i like about the vance and hines is that you can replace the fishtail tips and you cant on the samsons also you can remove the baffles on the vance and hines and go with none or they also have quiet baffles. Price wise i like M&M cycle in ohio
Have any of you guys had problems with them lining up evenly with the rear fender. I read a post somewhere that a few guys running the samsons were having some issues but i cant remeber where i seen it.

Samson now has removable tips and baffles .Plus the standard ones that most of us run. (Z28) I have never noticed my Samsons being off center. I will now have to look and get back to you on that. I have being loving my Samson Cholos for over a year & 1/2 with no problems.
Not a fan of the the V&H True Duals for the following reasons. 1) They sit higher on the bike than the Samsons. 2)The cross over head pipe is crushed with in an inch of its life ,so it will fit with the stock seat /coil bracket. 3) The design of the cross over pipe around the primary is more squared. The Samsons hugs the contour of the primary better. 4) A lot more choices of styles and lengths with the Samsons. 5) Samson fish/long tails are much nicer looking IMHO.

I would look at Freedom as they are the only exhaust manufactures that use 100% American steel. They are built for performance, my sharktails step down 4 times to keep the performance. They also have a 1 piece heat shield on the duals. I looked at them all and Freedom based on quality and performance can't be beat.
Where did you get them from and how much did they cost?
I just bought a set of V&H True Duals here for $571. Excellent service, too. I also bought the quiet baffles, which aren't really quiet but do lower and deepen the tone significantly, and the fishtail kit, both of which cost extra, of course. All together I paid about $770.
Going to install them tomorrow. I've been running a D&D Fatcat for a few years now and decided I wanted to change the look. I know what to expect performance-wise. I personally prefer the V&H fishtails over the look of the Samson fishtails, but that's a very individual matter. If I get tired of them I can simply take them off and install a different end cap kit. I also like V&H chrome quality, which, unlike that of some other companies, is usually pretty much faultless.
