The deluxe seat looks great but I had the same problem and I added a tallboy seat and it allows you to move around a bit and has a lot more padding for the driver and passenger. I am 5'8" and have no problem with the 2" seat height increase. http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com...uxe-Models.htm
Off with that uncomfortable Deluxe seat built for those under 5-7. I am putting on a LePera Maverick Daddy Long Legs seat this week. Good riddance to that stock seat. SJ Ron
I bought a Mustang solo with the backrest, which worked out just fine! Back support of some type is required when riding with your feet forward.
+1 on that. I also bought the Mustang solo seat with backrest for my Deluxe. Looks great and feels great. I can ride all day and the backrest is fantastic

Me too . Wide solo w/backrest . This a huge improvement over stock . Though the stock seat sure looks good, love the rail . Looking cool is important but so is comfort .
I feel your pain too Dude, literally! After a few hours on my bike my tailbone is killing me. I put the Shotgun shock on and that helped some with me being able to move the set up of the bike around and change the rebound. My problem is 1, I love the Deluxe seat and I was lucky enough to find a back rest made by Harley specifically for the Deluxe seat and 2, I am trying to keep my entire bike either Harley or Screaming Eagle. My suspension system is about the only things on my bike that are not Harley. I do have to address this issue over the winter though. I hope to get a few tips and recommendations from this site and this thread. If I do have to send my seat out to get reworked can they put the stock seat cover back on it after they rework it? I want it to look stock when completed. Is it foam or the gel that is the best way to go. I am 5'11" 230.
