Additives...do they work?

Do fuel additives like injector cleaners work without causing any damages?
I believe additives such as Sta Bil and injector cleaners work against the harmful effects of ethanol on marine outboard motors ...just wondering if they'd work the same way in the Harley???

Ive used both, and have had no problems at all. I tend to use injector cleaner once in a while, but I use StaBil fuel stabilizer in the weather and while riding down by the gulf.

I use the Stabil marine for ethanol in my bike, add a little after every fill up. I'm hoping it's doing it's job. Time will tell.

Stabil works for storage uses and injector cleaner works to clean injectors. But be advised most additives DO NOT mix with gas!!! We did some pretty extensive testing when we race stockcars and the lab results showed that they don't actually mix with the fuel. Stuff such as octane boost ....is a total waste. Teflon

I have been putting about a capful of Lucas oil upper cylinder lubricant/fuel system cleaner in a full tank much of the time but not always. The marketing stuff on the bottle sounds good, not sure I notice any diff. in how it runs. I was trying to get a little lube in the cylinder on the way up to cut down on wear and keep the injectors clean.
