Default Rocker rear tire

Anyone running the Metzler 250 on the rear with stock Rocker swing arm forks? Lemme know if you ran into any clearance issues with the belt...currently I have an Avon 240 on the rear but got a nail in it a few weeks ago so thinking about changing it out.

I don't think that Metz makes a 250 X 18? I went with the Avon 250 after discussing with Heartland last week. I'm not going to put my rear on for a bit, the front was the important change for me. Rear is a winter project.

There's a bunch of info on here about what fits the rocker. I put a new VEERUBBER tire on the back this spring. I usually run Metz, but I found this new Veerubber 260x35x18. It is a tight fit, but it does fit. I put some review info on the site for folks. So far it has been great. I paid $155 bucks and free shipping from a place in the midwest on the net. The tire looks fantastic and rides great. I recently was on a 2200 mile trip to canada and spent 3 days in the rain on highways with trucks and the tire never gave me any trouble at any time. So far it has been great. I used to run Metz when they came from Germany, but they cost 300 bucks...and are now made in brazil/some suggest the quality has gone down?? I also like Dunlop/made in USA/much lower cost. Not sure which I will go with after this one, but I may stay with the veerubber. Note that the veerubber is a 35 height tire, which drops the back a hair and looks and rides great. I also checked on the manufacturer and they are number 1 in asia, like Goodyear here and as folks on this site recently noted, HD is having them make some of the tires for the bikes they are delivering today. Ride safe.

I'm running around like a nut, but I'll see if I can put a picture up of the Veerubber 260x35x18.

I have a 250 Dunlop elite 3, fits with 1/8" clearance to belt.
HD100 has the metzler 260 with same clearance

I got the Dunlop for a real good price from www.cruisercustomizing.com

Yes, the 260 Metz fits perfect. Take a look at my pics, so you can see how they look like.
They are 6000 miles on the bike, and there are still 2mm left.
Had no issues with these tires and will definitely put them on again next time.
