Question for all of you knowledgeable people out there. I have an '05 Deluxe that came with the factory alarm system. It has the motion detection built in (you know lightsvflash when the bike is moved) but I want to modify it so the horn blows as well. Has anyone done this before and if so what does it entail.
I appreciate anyone's input on this. Thanks for you help this forum is a wonderful of information.
If you plug it into the horn.... someone can easily disable it. The HD "smart siren" has a built in battery backup. I have them on both my rides. And it is......... loud!
The HD siren is the way to go. Its east to install, instructions come with it and its not all that expensive. It took about 15 minutes to plug into my 04 fxst and it works great.
I concur...go with the HD Alarm! Loud, easy to install, and works in concert with the factory alarm system already installed. Get it from Zanottis and save some $$$!
