Default Dead Creek Cycles lowering kit

Looks like the 1 1/2" inch lowering kit has been replaced by a 2" kit. I had just decided on the 1.5 too. If you look for the 1.5 on their website you get re-directed to the 2". Can't make up my mind.

Maybe they will keep both. I bought the cheap bolts because I wanted adjustability. But had I known about the dead creek kit I probablly would have bought it instead.

I just installed the 1.5" a couple of weeks ago. With the 39" cholos I have, 2" might be pushing it. I like the looks of the 1.5", plus the Deluxe is already pretty low.

Bolts work good for solo riding in my opinion, if you ride two up i would look into other options.

Well never mind. Put the bike up on my crappy Sears yellow stand to see if I was going to have room to work and it doesn't look like I do. Guess I'll have my indy do it with the bolts.

Just put a couple 4x4's stacked front and rear of frame, or jack stands, then lower the bike onto them and remove the jack. Gives ya room to work on the shocks.

I did it with my jack from Harbor Freight, which is essentially the same jack from what I know. It should work.

And you can do that also.

Is the Harbor Freight one the same as the Sears yellow or the red one?

I'll get some 4X4's and try them.

I used a Sears red jack and had no problem doing my kit even with my big hands. I do have to admit that it took a couple of tries to get the jack just in the right spot and it was a tight fit but I got her done.
