It's been interesting watching someone with the skills and/or daring to do such a radical mod to a Harley. I've got a lot of work to do on a 1200 sporty and a bagger real soon if I want to ride them this summer, but it's mostly just going to be maintenance like tires, bearings, clutches, and swap outs like a better seat; comfort and reliability stuff. No welding, I hope! Did a dumb move and sold my welder years ago, sometimes I wish I could get a serious reason to get another, sure is handy sometimes. I try to do everything myself, which kinda limits my creativity... Threads like yours are very interesting to me, have even picked up a few tips I could use.
No rear sets for me!!! This is a cruiser / rat rod / hot rod!!
This is my "Tough Connecticut Farmer" pose!!! (My 8 year old is like "dad, when are you gonna grow up??", she loves taken the pics though!!)
ok, two hands on the controls (gotta put the brewski down).
In warmer days before the face plant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks for the pics. Definitely looks a whole lot better with someone sitting on it. After seeing the pics, you are right, no rear set controls. Sweet scooter to start with but it definitely looks much better with someone sitting on it. Good job! Just curious, but how big a boy are you? Almost like you are sitting on a sporty. Again, I really like your build!
I am 5'11", 225lbs. I think the winter overalls and quilted flannel blow my fat *** up!!! The summer pic is more realistic.
I made a short vid of the bike running so you can hear those sweet short shots!!! For some reason the darn thing wont load up to youtube. Will post it when I figure it out.
I know, I know, the seat / tailight / plate set up is a little rough. Small potato details though. She is road ready and sound!!! Dont make fun of my ignition switch either....work in progress!!!
