So I trimmed down that switch mount today, moved the two little lights higher and blacked it out. Looks much better IMHO.

Before

After. Little tighter / cleaner.

ctluba, I don't pass through here very often, but someone in a different forum posted a link to this thread. I have been thinking of a second bike to tear up the streets with, something opposite my 2010 Ultra.

All I can say is cool! It makes me want to find a bike to hack up and build a street fighter too. I like what you have done with the import forks and swing arm, although I would like to keep it a bit shorter so maybe modify the stock swing arm or get some fat tire kit. Something more on the line of a crotch rocket with a HD engine.

Also don't let the haters get to you. The guy ragging on you for hacking up a classic was a hoot. A classic Evo Soft Tail, woopie! Big deal. It is not like people are collecting them and paying big cash for a rare, Soft Tail! Some guys have no creativity.

Thanx for the comp.

99.9% of the guys at this forum are way cool and it has been a pleasure documenting the build in this thread. I love posting updates, but probably wont be any for while. Nothing major anyway until I dig into a motor, maybe next year.

Sounds like a cool event. I'm definitely gonna shoot for it. This weekend Doc's in Waterbury is having their annual Spring Open house. Free pig roast/food etc. I'm trying to get a small group together to meet there then ride up to rt44 and loop over to rt7 and on down...

Haha sounds good to me. The day is up in the air for me as well. I'd like to see the beast in person!

So that bracket that holds the oil cooler and that electrical module (whatever it is) was all rusty.

Gave it the wire wheel and some spray can love.

Figured while I was at it may as well black out the oil cooler and that electrical module.

Scuffed up the chrome surfaces and shot it. We will see if holds up. I doudt it with it being right behind the front wheel. It will get a nice sand blast anyway.

Little more black for the profile anyway.
