just read every page of this thread.. made me sick for work tomorrow but man you have built one sick *** scoot!! givin me some ideas for my wide glide as well as the ol gs 750 my pops rides
Nah, I aint gonna start tryin to make this bike handle great, It aint gonna happen. I am pretty satisfied with the performance gains I got.
Dont know if anybody saw the "pipes" thread I started. Was considering trying something else. Decided to just trim a few inches off the short shots. Not a big diff, just diff, maybe even uglier. I dont know.....bored.
So I had the day off. Cant ride, going a little stir crazy. Started to watch chopper vids on youtube. Saw an idea I figured I would rip off. Went out in the garage with some beer, paint and a little brush. Painted the raised letters on my tires white. Sorta to go with the "hot rod" theme.
So I am S/B on Rt8 today in the left lane near exit 37, wide open, side by side with a tractor trailer. We suddenly get into a little bit of icy run off from the cliffs on the right shoulder. I smash the throttle, bang her down a gear and the rear end starts to break loose. I regain my traction and ride out of it in a wheel stand!!!!
Ok, the story was 80% true, maybe not the wheel stand part!!!
Gonna snow this weekend. Cant stay off the bike any longer!!!!!!!!!
