I am now at the stage where I realize I am not in the hospital and i should stop my bitchin. I got her home and it looks like a tank, controls and bars and some detail work should get me back on the road. Please dont ask, it just is what it is!!!
Life happened dude. Nobody else involved, nobobdy hurt, except my *** and I am sittin here the same night plannin my rebuild, which should kick off in about 30 minutes. All in all I guess I have to count my blessings. I just really loved how the bike came out and now sorta hurtin. I guess I have to keep it in perspective.
Motor isnt even leakin. No engine covers cracked. No rash on any motor parts. Tranny shifted right into neutral. Forks look straight. I think I got real lucky injury wise, and pretty lucky bike wise. I think I can get her back on the road in a couple weeks.
Damn dude that sucks... I know, been there before. At least you're ok and the good news is with your skills and the lack of any major damage, you'll have it back together in no time...
Yep and it will happen at the most inopportune times LOL.
Only been down once in many years/miles of riding and it was simply a momentary lack of attention on my part.
Not suggesting that was you cause. Glad it turned out as well as it did. Cheers
CT: Hey man, glad you're ok. While crashes suck, at least you (and the bike, really) didn't get hurt. Just another thing to give thanks for on Thursday, right?
