And I got a new back tire. No more Michelin pilots for me. Didn't even last a full season!! It's a great tire, but I don't need a soft compound racing tire on a ****ing softail ya know!! I need to get mileage out of it!! I went with a Shinko 180. $93 delivered, $130 bucks with mount and balance as compared to $230 for the Michelin bought locally when I was in a jam
I'll post an update to let you know if I get better mileage out of this one. But those treads sure look tough haha
Can you tell me which one of these wires goes to the horn?
Probably none. Planning on putting on sportster bars and buttons, get rid of the multitude of buttons the Ultra had and less pull back on the bars - I have a long reach. I like simple. Means re-wiring pretty much the whole bike, but there won't be near as many wires, won't be any radios or speakers, and the starter will be wired different, but I'll complicate the wiring a bit with some additional LED lights and a battery shutoff switch.

Most of the comments I've read on Shinkos are good. I'm running Avons, like them way better than the old Dunlop 400 series. Avon says to run 2-4 lbs more air than stock tires, and some guys say that increases the mileage, too. Might check on the forum or net and see if folks are doing that with the Shinkos, seems a little more air improves handling on a lot of the aftermarket tires. I don't know if it improves those burnouts, though...
