Why would the round tank not work, I like the look, "a lot."
I bought the one wit the center filler cap. Need the one with the side filler cap. Also the harley battery would not fit in the battery box on the back of the tank. It was only about an 1/8" difference, but it wouldnt fit.
I guess if I go the one with the side fill cap and the battery box was the proper size, it would work. I screwed up from the start and ket geting worse!!

I'm sorry but what part of custom do you not understand:-) custom is not easy, its cool.
If they will exchange it get the right tank, run a lithium battery.
Hinge the seat so that it flips up.
Take it to a fabricator and have the changes made.
That or make one that fits.
That tank looks awesome, it gives it that "how the hell did he do that look."
You have the skill, time to move your fabricating ability up a notch.
Did you ever do your seat?
Pm me your address and I will get the dye in the mail.

I hear ya harleycruiser, I just got very frustrated with the job. Maybe I will take another shot at it one day with the other tank that has the fill hole on the side.
I did do the seat. My 13 yr old daughter is a very good artist. I had her take some of her high end art markers and trace out the tool marks. I then roughed it up with some scotch brite. It looks pretty good. I will post a pic when I get around to it. Thanx for the offer though.
Not a huge difference, just that little extra bit of "trick".
