Default Anyone using an Oil Bud?

Wondering if anyone is using an oil bud on their softail. I like the oil bud it would be ideal but it appears to mount to the frame under the bike and i would no longer be able to use my J & S jack and that would suck.

On their website they say that it fits up in between the frame rails so you can use a jack. Those J&S jacks are great!

Correct the lean running condition first and you won't need an oil cooler.

From what I see in this photo, you should not have a prob with using your jack.

Oil bud is not for me. It is too close to the ground and I would tend to think that it would get hit by a rock or something that regular oil cooler would not. But, that is just me. In my mind, it is less than ideal.

+1 The cooler fins would also be damaged and bent aft disrupting the air flow through the cooler.

I agree with Hogpro as well and also think the price is extreme. Even if there's a warranty
on the product do they replace the motor if it does get damaged and leaks all the oil out? Just say'n

I have the new, larger HD oil cooler that goes up front. It has the "turbulators" in it and the 185 degree thermostat in it as well. It has worked great all summer and it's been a hot one here. I ride slammed since I put the shotgun shock on so I new I didn't want any kind of oil cooler under my bike. I had seen them, read about them and researched them, it wasn't for me. This is all just of course my .02 on the matter too. I try to stay Harley or SE on my bike, about the only thing that isn't is my suspension system front and back. Good luck.
