New handlebar/grip (more pullback) setup for under $350?
Am I able to do a set of new bars and grips that will give me some more pullback, but not require a new set of cables/wires, for around $350? I was thinking about LA Choppers' knuckle bar, but the rep on the phone said it wouldn't give me more pullback, just width, and that I would need new wires. Any truth to this? To be honest, he didn't really seem to know what he was talking about as he fumbled through computer screens. He did recommend their hefty dresser bar though.
For now, apes are out of the question, and I just need something with maybe a couple inches more pull than the stock bars. Just not sure if it can be done without new wires. And every time I find something else I may like, they end up being 1" in the middle.
How about just replacing the risers with pull backs. I put 4" pull backs on my heritage and love the feel. I am short, and needed the extra couple of inches to not always be stretching toward the bars
I had thought of going with risers, but I'm, also looking at changing the appearance a bit. After some searching today, I might just wait on the grips for now, and go with something like the Big Buffalo bikini bars and the risers that are needed. Still doing some more research to see if they'll give me some more pullback without going too wide. Also not sure yet if they'll need longer cables/wiring.
I don't mind beach bars either, but some are just way too wide.
Wildones 504 (dresser bars) will work , alittle wider and more pull back , they work with stock cables. I had them on my fatboy, very comfortable. More pictures in my album

Thanks, that helps a lot. Those were one of the choices I was considering. Were you able to keep the stock wiring as well?
