I didn't like them because I thought it would block the air flow to the heads. They have a side mount one that I didn't like but it's on the Fatboy and works. Don't know if that oilbud under the engine thing will fit or really work.
Depending on how much cooling you're after, you might consider the Perf-form HD-C2S. I live in the Middle East and running a TC96 with SE255 cams & stage 1 it dropped my oil temp from 245 to 225 on a 95 degree day in urban highway riding.
I am running one as well and I love it. I live in the Chicago area and it was a long hot summer. I have many mods to my bike so I wanted to try to protect my investment. This subject sets off a lot of controversy but I believe in them and I use one. I always have and always will. My bike never went over 210 and even then it rarely hit that 210 mark with it on there, even on the longest of rides on the hottest of days. I also use the oil scavenger to pump all the old dirty oil out of my bike with the addition of the oil cooler and the added oil it takes to fill my bike. That too sets off a whole lot of controversy but I also believe in that too. I know it's been done that way for many, many years but no one will ever convince me that a 70 or 80% oil change is the same or as good as a 100% oil change. Again, just taking added steps to protect my investment.

I have used them on 2 of my bikes, 2004 fatboy and 2010 heritage. The temp dropped 20 degrees. I don't use the chrome cover because i dont want to draw attention to it. Never had any issue with them.
I had both the stock softail cooler between the frame and the Jeggs that mounted under the regulator..the Jeggs only was a hair cooler maybe cause it was away from the engine..both work great in stop and go N.Y.C. traffic.

I have used the HD unit since shortly after I purchased the bike new in'07. It dropped oil temps at least 10-20 degrees and I have the cover installed. Have had no issues with it.
I run the HD but had the cover powdercoated black, don't see the point in having chrome on a cooler. Coming from a heavy equipment background I totally believe in oil coolers, try to find a diesel without one.
I run one on my '08 Fatboy. The coolers size is smaller than it looks. While it might block a little air flow, it can't be much. Install was easy and took about 2 hours. I did apply a very thin coat of hi-temp silicon sealant to both sides of the oil adaptor gasket.
As for performance, my non-scientific observation of my oil tank temp shows about a 10-15 F drop in temp. Probably not enough to make a difference, but it makes me feel better.
