Decel-pop what?!!!
When I bought my bike, it was tuned with a PCV, and since my nearest Dyno is like 20 hours away, I decided to order the Autotune, when changing my AC and exhaust. This was last spring. Bike's been running good, but with some crazy decel-popping going on.
It didn't really bother me at first, as I'm used to tuned sportsbikes where this is normal after full throttle. But at this point I was so tired of the popping, that I caught myself just giving more throttle wherever it started popping, which isn't always a good solution.
So I googled it for like an hour last night. And belive it or not, I actually found a possible sollution at the manufacturers web-site.
Hooked up the laptop to the bike this morning. And thought I'd update the firmware as I was at it.
At first I just started it up, to see that eveything was working. Check.
Then updatet the firmware and tried to start it again. No sir! The bike wouldn't start. Dang!!!!
Unplugged the PCV from the laptop, pushed the startbutton, and everything was fine. Phew....!!!
So what I did was: I added 25% to the 0%-throttle position from 1000rpms to 6000rpms.
Put the bike back together and went for a testride. I was almost waiting for the bike to stall or brake down or something. But guess what.
Bike ran just as before I messed with it, but WITHOUT a single pop/pow/bang!!!!!
Might not work for everybody, but mine is now perfect, after a 10 min job in the driveway.......mJust to bad theridingseason's as good as over up here in Norway....
