How to zero TPS?

Default How to zero TPS?

I have read all instructions that came with PCV. I don't see anywhere in the instructions where it says to zero the TPS.

I am sure this has been gone over, can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

I did a search, but did not find anything.

I do nor believe we can accurately zero the TP on TBW bikes. After my 08 warms up with the PCV attached the TP shows 0 so I think it is good. I believe the zeroing TP is for pre TBW bikes.

Not sure about the PCV, but with my PC III what you zero is the software to your 0 percent throttle, then you check to see if you are getting 0-100% throttle response from the bike to the PC, like I said I know nothing about the PCV so this may not apply.

TBW bikes are more likely for TP to be set correctly, but 100% can't be set unless the bike is mounted to a dyno. I understand that 0% can be set by changing the "minimum voltage" in the Throttle Settings section until 0% is achieved in the main window.

On non-TBW bikes you click on Reset, then twist the throttle to 100%. For these bikes you don't need to have the engine running to calibrate. With the PCIII install the 9V adapter and turn on the ignition (don't start), and with PCV simply turn on the ignition.

The procedure is in the PCV manual (PDF), page C ("TPS Calibration").
