I just bought a stage l BB kit that I will install this winter. I am curious as to whether I could replace my current heads with a set off a 2012 Bike, seeing they are already drilled for acrs. Will this work?
Thanks in advance
Haven't read anyone who's done that. Thinking its prob a go. but to be sure I'd Just ask U wrench at Ur dealership. or do a search on it..
Several in here have gone with the 96 head install on the 88's to get the Beehive springs.. but the 96'ers and 103's prob have the same minus the ARC's.
If your doing that engine mod and your heads will be off I would REALLY suggest getting headwork done, flowed, ported and polished IMHO. Up until I put my shotgun shock on, my head work was my favorite mod done to my bike.
With the SE 255 cams you should not need the ACR's but I do see where Harley as a footnote to the Stage I 103 kit recommends them. The stock 103 heads with the ACR's will fit on your TC96.
What we would recommend to our customers would be to take the money you were going to spend on the 103 heads w/ ACR's and instead put it into getting your stock heads machined. We have what we call Silver Bullet Heads which work really well with a 103ci.
