Default has anyonoe tried to use undrilled or un dimpled handlebars?

I just got some new ones, and they were supposed to be dimpled and I recieved them and they are not.. Has anyone tried to use them or came up with a solution to use them? I just dont want to have to wait again and send them back and get new ones...

Drill your own holes.I have done several sets over the years with no problems. Most unndrilled are 1", alittle harder to wire but can be done.

I really dont want to run the wires inside, I just need that indent for the levers, I could still drill them in a couple spots and dremel the rest out...I will try and tape them up and then drill and cut, because they are chrome... Hopefully I dont mess them up...

If you have stock controls and don't want to do internal wiring the indents or holes are not needed.

I believe if you don't internal wire you will need the dimples cause without them your wires have no place to lay on the bar between your switch....

Yea I installed bars on my buddy's sportster, and he didn't realize when he ordered the bars, that they didn't have the dimples. I ended up modding the switch housing so it wouldn't pinch.

Yeah, it definately needs atleast the dimples...if I do drill the holes in it, is it easy to get to the plug-in under the tank, I might just do that, it will look way better...Oh, and is the plug-in small enough to fit through the 1" pipe or do I have to take off the buttons on the cotrols and run them that way?

Slide your tank back to get to the connections. Make sure to disconnect the fuel line at the tank or it will snap the fitting on the injector end. Watch the top of your motor too. Put a rag on your rocker to not get them scratched up. You don't take the wires apart at the switch. I ran a lead piece of wire thru the bars first then taped the end to the wires. Pulled them thru. Yes they will fit in a 1" bar. Good luck take your time and it will be worth it in the end.
