Default Heritage spotlight switch

Hi, I have a 91 FLSTC. When I bought it the turn signals and spotlights had been removed. I found a nice set of spotlights at a swap meet and will install them, probably tonight. But, I have no clue where to mount the switch. Where is the switch for the spot lights mounted on a heritage?

It's on the plate behind the upper left fork, Just in front of the gas tank. Stop by a dealer and you'll see for sure.

Thanks a bunch. Whoever removed the spotlights and turn signals didn't leave any sign as to where that stuff had been. I think they were going for the old school Harley look. I like the simplicity of it but, my wife follows me on her sporty and complains that she doesn't know what I'm about to do and in the dark can't see may hands giving directions. My long term goal is to add turn signals. I'll run by the dealer and look at the FLSTCs.

The switch as mentioned goes on the back left tree cover. The spots are fed from the Low Beam power wire, a stock set up has a yellow wire that comes right from the head lamp socket over to the left spot (switch) and from the left spot it goes to the right spot. Thats why the spots go out when you turn the high beams on.

Hi/Lo lamps on late model bikes have two hot wires one for high one for low and a common ground. They go back to a 20A fuse.

You can buy a $4 20A switch at almost any auto parts store. I cant imagine what the dealer would charge.

I just put in an extra on/off switch for my headlight.

You might already know all this stuff so I thought I would throw this in for the next guy who searches the topic.
