Question Pro One Turn Signal Bar (FX)

Has anyone tried one of these and if so, how was it?

http://www.pro-one.com/401720_Turn_S...r_p/401720.htm

I am looking for a way to replace my front turn signals (currently located on the forks).

Hmmmmm.... yea, that's what I am afraid of. Will it look like it belongs? Ya know? I might be better off just trying to find some smaller, matching turn signals (front and back). Looks like most that I have seen require a load equalizer ... do you know how hard that is to install?

Thumbs up

I think I remember a post not too long ago in here about the Pro-one signal bar. I think it had some pics too if you're interested.

As far as the load equalizers go, I've seen them as simple as a resistor that gets wired inline with the signal wiring. I'm not sure if there is anything "plug and play" or not.

Yea, I saw that one post with a few pictures but not very many people replied about it. It doesn't seem very popular.... probably because it doesn't look like it belongs where it bolts on.

I posted this mainly because I went to ride today and noticed my relocated turn signal on the left side had spun in towards the headlight... not completely but its not straight now. I went to they and unscrew it to spin it back around and lock it back down and the screws are stripped. Now I'm not sure how I can get it unscrewed without just breaking it off. I actually have another bracket that I could use if I could just get the stripped screw heads off. I think I stripped them when putting them on... and crazy thing is, it still rotated in (from the vibration I assume).

Check out Custom Dynamics. Lots of cool, small LED signals and strips. I ran a couple 2" long LED strips that I stuck to the front of the bottom tree. The rings that wrap around the forks are pretty slick too, but a bit pricey. They also sell load equalizers, mine was a plug and play that goes between the lighting main harness connectors under the seat. Took about 90 seconds to install. And the equalizer is not necessarily required. The lower resistance of the LED's fools the computer into thinking a bulb is out and causes the signals to flash faster to alert you of the outage. If you don't mind fast signals, it's not an issue.

OK, cool! I will check those out. I do remember seeing the rings that go around the fork tubes, those would probably be cool.

I am still debating just removing my front turn signals all together....its not like anyone see's them anyway. Lol

I removed mine last winter, haven't had any issues. As long as you ride like no one sees you anyway, shouldn't matter if you've got them or not. Only reason I left the rears on is that I lead a lot of our rides, and want the bikes behind me to know where the hell I'm going! Lol

Good point on why to leave the rears on, I didn't think about that. Although, you could use your hand signals...which is much easier for someone to see rather than the small signals. Did you just unplug the fronts from the harness? Nothing else needed?
