fuguzzled directions RANT!
where the hell do they find these people who draw up directions!!!
today i got in a few things, left and right teardrop tool boxes, Kuryakyn extended cruise arm mark IV, laydown license plate holder and a Lazer Star Bullet Road Light.
putting the light onto the frame was the easy one to do other then putting the rubber strip on the inside of the light bracket before it goes onto the frame, guessing to keep it from scratching.
but the directions for the teardrop box, and cruise arm are to screwed up. the directiond want me to remove the entire fender bracket, DAMN, thats not a problem its just another 15 to 20 minutes per side, all i did was take the peg off and loosen 1 fender bolt and remove the other 2. pulled the fender bracket out just a hair and slid the tool box bracket under the fender bracket and VOILA had it done in 2 minutes. samething called for the other side aswell.
now putting the cruise bracket together was a challenge if you read and followed the directions. that **** had me scratching my head for 5 minutes and squinting my eyes for another 10 minutes. i said the hell with this, logged on here, looked at OldFenderGuy's bike to see how his is done and i had mine together and on the bike in minutes.
what is it with these directions, their never explained the way they should without you scratching your head, mother effin everybody up and down and want to kick the crap out of the 1st person who walks in front of your house. i read others had problems with directions on things they were installing. and why the hell cant the pictures they provide with the directions be just 10% clearer. thats all just 10%, im not asking for a miracle here. but damn these directions suck.
sorry rant off!!!!!!
