A couple years ago I swapped out my bars with some Hill Country apes. The apes came pre-wired with switches.
Recently, my right turn signal, start switch, and high beam switches have been intermittent. I usually have to cycle the switch or push it a few times to get it to work.
Is there a way to clean these switches? If so, clean with what? alcohol?
i've seen that, canned air or that electronics spray in there, the contacts in the housing can get dusty, spider webby and corroded.
Thanks for suggestion on canned air. I'll try that first.
Harley service manual says switches can't be fixed and must be replaced.
I'm thinking Hill Country doesn't use OEM switches and the aftermarket switches are going to crap? But a lot of people on this board use Hill Country kits and I've not heard of problems..
