Ordered a set of Harley beach bars from a member, dont really care for them for various reasons. Mainly they are 1.25" at the clamp and I don't like the for risers to fit the style of my 2012 Deluxe. Did a quick mount with fat boy risers and the angle my shoulder was at made it uncomfortable.
So now I'm looking at apes, specifically 16" gangster or evil apes from carlini. Sat on a bike at my local Indy parts shop that had 16" apes and it felt good to the shoulder.
So I'm going to pull the trigger this week and need advice. I know this has been beat to death but I'm in a hurry so no time to search millions of threads, I've already gone through a ton todaybandncouldnt get my answer.
It's a stupid question too. So here it goes - do I order the burly kit in matching size to the bars I get? 16" apes and get 16" cable and wire kit?
Thanks in advance, winter projects are eating at the pocket book quick but I love it.
Yes order whatever bar size your getting in your model. I know Burlys kits for the sportsters were on the longer side so guys were getting away with ordering the 14 inch kit and putting on 16 inch apes to have less cable mess, but for the sure thing I would just order the size you need.
Does your bike have ABS? Usually if they sell the bars and the cables to fit them you should be good. I've put several Burly kits on bikes and they are good. Also your bike has the canbus integrated wiring, are those the extensions?
