Default New Exhaust Cleaning

I just put Samson 33" longtails on my 2010 Deluxe and I read where I'm supposed to clean the chrome before I fire it up so I don't burn fingerprints into the chrome. My question is what should i use to clean the pipes with, isopropyl alcohol, Harley Chrome cleaner, soap n water? Not sure and I don't want to mess them up by using the wrong product.

Wear rubber gloves when installing them, no fingerprints. I just give them a quick spray down with brake cleaner on a soft rag, usually works quite well

I used isopropyl alcohol and it worked fine.

Thanks for the help, I used the isopropyl alcohol and noticed it kind of left a film so I stopped and thought I should get some input. I did wear the rubber gloves during most of the install to help minimize the fingerprints.

Windex is also what I used too when I installed my pipes, no finger print burn ins here.

I've also used the windex before to clean pipes but never on the initial start up of new pipes. I searched other threads on this at length and looked at other mfgs websites to see what they recommend. They all just say in their final instructions to make sure the pipes are clean before starting! But what do they recommend we use to clean them.....Just think it's funny they won't say!
