Absolutely hated the bare bones at first.....but 500+ miles on it and it seems I'm getting used to the pain!

It's broken in nicely, and I think most of the initial discomfort was getting used to the riding position. It's lower and further back than stock, and little to no back support, so hard on the throttle off a stop was disconcerting until I got used to the " throttle slide" toward the rear fender. Now it seems just as comfortable as the badlander that came stock.

Ha!! That's mainly why I got rid of mine. Well technically, I f-ed mine up with a tow strap and then replaced it with something else. I always felt like my fat *** was about to slide right off that thing whenever I got on the throttle.

I have the Saddleman Solo something or other (in my sig pic)... looks a lot like the La Pera, but it's gel and waaaaaaaay more comfortable and has really neato stitching. Highly recommend.

I personally feel that the Bare Bones is more comfortable than the stock Deluxe seat. If that counts for anything.

The bare bones is like a caddy after riding on a potato chip seat on my rigid chopper. Sure
does make my deluxe look better though.
