*Edit* I figured that out finally. Now Im getting a leak in the pipe right at the clamp. How far onto the pipe does the clamp need to go? I believe I have it right at the edge of the slipon itself.
Not sure if you know, but Rush recommends a much higher torque for the clamps than the manual recommends. I believe it is around 60-65ft pounds compared to the factory 40ft pounds.
As far as clamp position, I placed mine flush with the end of the slip on itself and have had no problems.
Hope this helps.
If I had mine to do over I would use a heat resistant tape or sealant.
I was getting decel pop & a little discoloration on the muffler.
I cranked it up to over 80 which did stop it but should not have to
go that high IMO

I did not know that. Thank you!
Would it be beneficial to use a little bit of heat resistant silicone as well?
Use new clamps, many say you dont need to. Clamps should be about 1/16" and no more then 1/8" from inlet end of slip on. Use a high temp sealer and make sure muffler is on as forward as brackets will allow, any leak at your connections will cause a decel pop.

You're quite welcome.
I did not use sealant or tape, just new clamps at the higher torque value. Did this with both my Rocker and Blackline and have never had any issues with decel pop.
Enjoy your new mufflers!
Thanks for choosing Rush and I'm glad you got it sealed. New clamps are recommended because they can stretch and become egg shaped. Once that happens they will not uniformly apply pressure around the muffler inlet. We also recommend 60 ft lbs due to a thicker gauge steel than stock mufflers.

So it looks like I fixed the leak. I cant see it anymore. It was very visible at one time. I havent gotten to ride it yet but I do get some popping when I pull the RPMs up and let off. Is it normal? Im not planning to get a fuel remap anytime soon. Sounds perfect at idle.

If leaks are fixed and you still have some decel pop, it is normal. You now have less back presure and your "cats" have been removed. Be sure you allow throttle to return completely when closing throttle, a part open throttle will exagerate the decel pop. XIED's will help, although many will agrue they wont, but they did on my Heritage. After riding for awhile, inspect your muffler connections by the clamps, if you see exhaust tracer stains by the slots in the muffler, you still have a leak.
